Parents' school meeting: Germany

Joining to parents' meeting online and presenting how to use web tools with students. Greet meeting between Germany and Hungary.
It was fantastic to see how the parents enjoyed the game...joined and played...first in the background...and slowly getting closer to the laptop:-)))

We invited paents and kids from grade 4 from local Elementary schools. They will leave their school in August 2019 and then maybe attend our school. We want to inform them about some basic educational aspects at our school. That includes international collaborations. I want to connect the 4th graders with very low English language knowledge to kids and/or teachers/librarians from around the world just to say "Hello".
I need a line for 1 hour or more to be active when parents arrive at my classroom.

Why do we use skype in my classroom

Dear colleagues,

We have been using skype in my classroom  for 10 years . The first and the most important reason for why: because I and my students enjoy it!!! It's the most fantastic game in the world that makes our lessons  colorful. Something ...that we wait for in a day...in a week...

Officially:
I use skype to open my students eyes to the world. We have already travelled around the globe, met classes, learnt about new cultures, traditions, lives everywhere. Learning about art work, singing folksongs, listening to interesting musical instruments, learning about countries, different school lives, sport, history...Fantastic!!! I like it soooooooo much!!! Great Game!!!
And what is more. it can teach my students to accept and tolerate...and can teach them how to be polite.

On the other hand
We learn English as the second language, and these online meetings can motivate my students to learn more English, and can help my shy teenagers to open ther mouth and start to speak in English. ( nothing better motivation than the same age but different sex:-)))

If you ask me to help in your   first steps, I can give you ideas about games can be played with smaller ones ( age 6-10) with very basic English, and what games and topics to play and discuss with teenagers ( age 10-14)

And how interesting it is to have teachers as friends around the world! Talk to them daily, feel how they work and think!

Online meetings : + what other tools can support these sessions? Other collaborations, letters, mails, projetcs ...etc.

So...that's me.
