Dubai-ban vehette át díját a leginspirálóbb boglári tanár

Tizennégy éve az internet segítségével Tóthné Bán Gyöngyi vezetésével kezdtek el barangolni a balatonboglári általános iskola felsősei a világban. – Kezdetben a célom a nyelvtanulás motiválása volt, aztán kalandozásaink során kinyílt a szemünk a világra, megismertünk rengeteg kultúrát, hagyományokat, embereket, iskolákat más országokból, miközben mi is megismertettük a magyar hagyományokat, kultúrát, ünnepeinket, zenénket a világgal – mondta lapunknak a pedagógus. – Számomra az a legnagyobb öröm, amikor felsős diákjaim már gördülékenyen beszélnek angolul és nincs annál nagyobb motiváció számukra, mint amikor egy kedves fiú vagy lány mosolyog vissza rájuk a világ túlsó oldaláról – emelte ki Tóthné Bán Gyöngyi. 

Hozzátette: minden évben „Énekeljük körbe a világot” címmel csatlakoznak a Global Connection Day programhoz, ahol eddig hatvan ország több mint nyolcvan iskolájával zenéltek, énekeltek együtt. 

Tóthné Bán Gyöngyi, a teacher from Balatonboglár, received an award for being the most inspiring language teacher in Dubai. For the past fourteen years, under her leadership, upper primary school students have been exploring the world through the internet. "Initially, my goal was to motivate language learning, but during our adventures, our eyes opened to the world. We got to know many cultures, traditions, people, and schools from other countries, while also introducing Hungarian traditions, culture, holidays, and music to the world," said the educator. "The greatest joy for me is when my upper primary students speak English fluently, and there is no greater motivation for them than when a kind boy or girl smiles back at them from the other side of the world," emphasized Tóthné Bán Gyöngyi.

She added that every year they participate in the "Sing Around the World" program as part of the Global Connection Day, where they have sung and played music together with more than eighty schools from sixty countries so far.

Tóthné Bán Gyöngyi nemrég Dubaiba kapott meghívást, ahol megkapta az év leginspirálóbb tanára díjat a nemzetközi munkájáért. Referenciákat gyűjtöttek róla, majd a közelmúltban közölték vele, hogy a többfordulós nemzetközi versenyt ő nyerte. – Fantasztikus érzés volt ennyi afrikai, ázsiai emberrel találkozni – mondta lapunknak a pedagógus. Kiemelte: nagyon büszke diákjaira, hogy a nemzetközi mezőnyben a legkiemelkedőbb együttműködésért járó elismerést megkaphatta a boglári iskola. 

Recently, Tóthné Bán Gyöngyi was invited to Dubai, where she received the award for the most inspiring teacher of the year for her international work. References were collected about her, and she was recently informed that she won the multi-round international competition. "It was a fantastic feeling to meet so many African and Asian people," said the educator to our magazine. She emphasized that she is very proud of her students for receiving the recognition for the most outstanding cooperation in the international field among the Boglári school.

– Mindez a gyerekek nélkül nem ment volna és a jövőben is nagyon szeretném folytatni velük a közös munkát – mondta meghatottan a boglári pedagógus, akinek arra is jutott ideje, hogy felfedezze Dubai nevezetességeit.

"All of this would not have been possible without the children, and in the future, I would love to continue working with them," said the emotional Boglári educator, who also found the time to explore the sights of Dubai.

 

Előbb csak interneten utazott, ma már repülővel 

Tóthné Bán Gyöngyi négy éve eljutott Delhibe, tanított és megismerte az indiai oktatási rendszert. Három éve Párizsban a Microsoft E2 Education Exchange találkozón mutatta be tapasztalatait. Global Teachers Award díjjal ismerték el munkáját 2022 őszén. Ezt az elismerést a legjobb nemzetközi munkát végző pedagógusok kapják. A tavaly bekerült a Highlights of Hungary jelöltjei közé, még pedig egyedüli somogyiként. 
 

Four years ago, Tóthné Bán Gyöngyi made it to Delhi, where she taught and got to know the Indian education system. Three years ago, in Paris, she presented her experiences at the Microsoft E2 Education Exchange meeting. In the fall of 2022, she was recognized for her work with the Global Teachers Award, which is given to the best educators for their international work. Last year, she was selected as the only representative from Somogy county among the nominees for Highlights of Hungary. She started with traveling the world only through the internet, but today she travels by plane.
